Enjoy painting.

     Henri Matisse said that his art is like a comfortable chair.I wish the same
for my art.Our lives are filled with too many worries and silly distractions.The
air is full of restlessness.Tranquility,comfort and spontaneous feeling have
become a luxury.
     For a time,I was lost and felt very depressed.The various theories of art,
such as the traditional view that one should never weary of teaching others,
together with various political,social and philosophical ideas and the
constantly-emerging unconventional material were a heavy burden on art.I
still get a headache from discussing such subjects.
     One night,I could not sleep.The moonlight outside my window resembled
flowing water.I had a drink by the southern window of my home.Half-drunk
and half-sober,I had a sudden insight–we are just simple people and so
we should do just simple things:to paint what is in our minds,pure,fresh,
hazy-looking and soft.Bestraight and natural,take themes from our
surroundings,relax and be confident.Joys shared with others are enjoyed
even more.
     It is so good to paint.
